Say goodbye to acne in two weeks without meeting a dermatologist!

The big question - Is meeting the dermatologist the only way to get rid of acne?

The answer is No; there are effective ways to get rid of acne at home. By follow some easy steps at home you should notice a difference in 2 weeks. Just follow this simple daily routine to get rid of acne & to prevent it from returning as well.
People these days have hectic life style & do not have time to take care of their skin. Being one of these people I thought I need a routine that I can quickly follow on a week day/working day without spending much time & it worked well for me.

1.      Cleanse  (5 min activity)

Instruction: Use a cleanser & wash your face first thing in the morning when you wake up. A salicylic acid facial cleanser will be appropriate for an acne prone skin. Salicylic acid cleansers are commonly available that you can get in any store.
Reason to follow the instruction: One of the main reasons to get acne is due to excessive oil in the face. Cleansing your face will remove the excessive oil. (Commonly, a twice-daily cleansing is enough to remove the dirt and excess oil. If you've been exercising, are sweaty or especially dirty (like, after working in the yard) you can throw an extra cleanse.)
Caution: Be gentle when you wash your face as you don’t want to irritate the skin which will cause more acne.

2.      Uses salicylic acid (Kill the bacteria that causes acne) (10 min activity)

Instruction: Salicylic acid kills bacteria which is responsible for acne. It also causes skin cells to shed more rapidly by which promoting the growth of new skin. Salicylic acid is easy to find, and it is not expensive. You can purchase a small container with about 50 pads that contain this acid. Put this acid all over and not just on the infected spots alone.
Reason to follow the instruction: Another major reason for getting acne is due to bacterial skin infection. So it is important to remove these bacteria from the skin.
Caution: Make sure to be gentle when you apply the salicylic acid to your face. Always be sure to wash your hands before you touch your face.

3.     Sweat! (Workout for just 15  to 20 minutes a day to find amazing changes with your skin)

4.      Wash your face with water (5 min activity

Instruction: After you work out ensure to wash your face with water. Do not use the cleanser this time as cold water will do.
Reason to follow the instruction: After any sort of physical activity that makes you perspire it is very important to wash your face. (Remember always wash your hands before you touch your face) Make sure to wash every part of your face until all the sweat is no gone. Next, pat your face dry with a towel.
Caution: Cleansing too often can strip the skin of its natural oil, leading to over dryness and irritation so use cold water when you feel sweaty.

5.     Consuming healthy food (Balanced diet)

Instruction: One of the most important steps to follow is to eat healthy food which helps in getting flawless skin and great complexion. Does this mean you should completely stop eating junk food? Is it even possible to do that? I believe it is impossible to top eating our favorite food. However what is possible is that you can cut down on the junk food. For the first month I had my favorite/junk food once in two weeks (fried food, ice cream, soda, and milkshakes and so on.) From the second month I started eating JF once in a week.

Food that prevents ache
Le Lemon juice helps in eliminating acid waste and cleansing the liver with citric acid and building up enzymes to eliminate blood toxins. It also flushes out pores and keeps your skin feeling fresh and bright.

Watermelon is very useful for removing blemishes on the skin. It is rich in vitamins A, B and C and keeps the skin fresh, radiant and hydrated. It also prevents eruption of acne and removes scars and marks of acne.

Eating a balanced diet is the best way to have a healthy skin. Low-fat dairy product consists of vitamin A, which is one of the most important components of healthy skin.

Raspberries are a healthy as they are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and fiber. These are rich in phytochemicals that are protective of skin.

Dietary selenium comes from nuts, cereals etc. Some studies show that even skin damaged by the sun may suffer fewer consequences if selenium levels are high.

Apples contain lots of pectin and it is the enemy of the acne. So, remember to eat the skin too as pectin is mostly concentrated there.

Water Water and more Water: Water carries nutrition and oxygen to your internal body, keeping organs nourished, vital, and fit to fight acne.

Reason to follow the instruction: Poor food habits are another cause for acne. People who eat more fruits and vegetables (less milk and sugar), tend to have less acne. Make sure you get at least 5 servings of healthy vegetables especially leafy greens every day.
Caution: Avoid food that contains high fat content as much as possible.

6.     Apply Benzoyl Peroxide right before you go to bed.

Instruction: This should be done right before you go to bed. Benzoyl peroxide is easy to find in stores, and it truly helps to get rid of acne.. Use the same facial cleanser that you used in Step 1 to do this. Then pat your face dry with a towel. Finally, squirt some benzoyl peroxide in your hands and rub it all over your face (not just the infected areas). Your skin may feel rather dry after you do this and may also burn slightly, but since you are going to bed right after it won't bother you too much. Make sure not to apply to much if you have never used it before or if you have sensitive skin. You should slightly increase the amount you use every time until you feel that it is working well for you.
Reason to follow the instruction: This is another effective way to get rid of the bacterial facial infection
Caution: Make sure to wash your hands, and then wash your face as usual.

Get a flawless skin by following these simple instructions as you deserve it! I hope you liked my blog. Your feedback is very important to me so please take a few moments of your precious time & share your thoughts… :)

Best foods for beautiful and healthy hair

Feed your locks with the best foods for strong, shiny hair

Many of us spend a fortune on expensive hair products for healthier tresses. However, the truth is, beautiful hair starts with our diets. Healthy hair is nourished hair – and that means supplying our bodies with the nutrients they need. For shiny, strong and slinky locks, check out these top hair foods to add to your shopping list.

Healthy hair food 1: Whole grains

Many whole grains – including brown rice and oats – are rich in b vitamins, including biotin (B7), which can help alleviate alopecia and brittle hair. Healthy whole grains such as raw oats are also a good source of silica, which can help reduce hair breakage, and zinc; an important hair mineral which, in its deficiency, can lead to hair loss. For healthy, strong hair, try to eat a variety of whole grains – opting for grains that are as close to their natural state as possible.

Healthy hair food 2: Nuts

Nuts are high in protein and zinc, and are great for promoting strong and slinky hair. Good nuts to add to your diet include walnuts, which are packed with omega-3 fatty acids and biotin, and Brazil nuts, which are high in selenium. Selenium is not only good for promoting a healthy skin and scalp, but the mineral can also help prevent hair loss. Nuts are best eaten sparingly due to their high calorie content, however regularly snacking on a variety of nuts can have great health benefits.

Healthy hair food 3: Seeds

As with nuts all seeds are good for our health, yet different seed varieties also have their own individual properties for healthy hair. Sunflower seeds are a great source of biotin, pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, and flax seeds are a great vegetarian source of omega-3 oils, which can help promote a healthy, nourished scalp and head of hair. Quinoa – which is generally used as a grain – is also a great seed for hair due to the high quality protein it contains.

Healthy hair food 4: Oily fish

If you’re longing for strong, shiny hair, try adding oily fish – such as salmon, trout and sardines to your regular diet. Oily fish are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for healthy skin and keeping your scalp in good condition. Not only that, oily fish is also loaded with protein, which is essential for hair growth and strength, and iron, which can alleviate hair loss. To boost your body’s absorption of iron, try eating your oily fish sprinkled with vitamin C-rich lemon juice.

Healthy hair food 5: Oysters and shellfish

While oysters may not make a regular appearance on most of our dinner tables, they are actually a great source of many essential hair nutrients. Oysters are not only the richest natural source of zinc, but they are also an excellent source of selenium, iron and protein. Shellfish are also high in these minerals, as well as being a good source of vitamin B12, a rare nutrient which is important for healthy hair growth.

Healthy hair food 6: Yoghurt

Yoghurt is rich in calcium – an essential mineral for healthy hair growth – and is also a great source of protein. One of the best things about yoghurt, however, is that it can double up as a hair mask as well as a health food. For those suffering from an itchy scalp or dandruff, try applying some yoghurt straight to your scalp and hair and massaging in. Leave on for 10 minutes for a soothing hair and scalp treatment.

Healthy hair food 7: Avocado

Avocados are packed with monounsaturated fats, fatty acids and vitamin E, all of which can help promote nourished, supple and strong hair. The healthy fruit is also surprisingly high in protein and rich in B vitamins. To keep hair smooth and shiny, make avocados a part of your hair care routine as well as your regular diet by mashing one up and applying directly to your hair as a moisturising, nourishing treatment.

Healthy hair food 8: Eggs

For those suffering from lacklustre locks or hair loss, eggs may provide the perfect solution. Eggs are an excellent source of protein, which is essential for hair growth, as well as being rich in biotin. Eggs are also a good source of vitamin B12; a lack of which can lead to pernicious anaemia and hair loss. As with the above foods, eggs are also good as an external treatment for hair. For a protein-rich treatment, apply a beaten egg to hair, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse off with cool water.
